Dear friends and family,

This September, I will be walking in honor of my brave 5-year-old daughter, Elaina Joy Leroy, who lives with sickle cell disease. Joy inspires everyone she meets with her strength, her laughter, and her beautiful smile even on the hardest days.

We are coming together not only to celebrate Joy’s courage but also to raise awareness and support for sickle cell research, care, and families affected by this condition. Every step we take in this walk is a step toward better treatments, brighter futures, and one day, a cure.
